Honor a Woman in Your Life this Mother’s Day
This Mother’s Day, consider honoring a special woman in your life with a donation to WMI’s “Igniting Change: Women’s Education Fund”.
The special person you choose will receive an email on Mother’s Day notifying them that you have donated in their honor.
Sponsor a Woman Scholar
- For $2,500 you can support a woman scholar for one year including the cost of tuition, books, academic and leadership support for 1 year.
- Each donor will be matched with a woman scholar and receive two updates a year on their academic and community service work.
- You will also have the opportunity to name the scholarship in honor of a loved one.

Reviewer Evening (May 10, 6-7 PM EDT): Hear from and engage with three exceptional women WMI Student Scholars in fields of medicine, technology, and agriculture. They will discuss the impact WMI scholarships have had on their lives, their community work, and their plans for the future. Sponsorship Event: Celebrating and Elevating Grassroots Women (May 19, 6-7 PM EDT): Hear from and engage with three exceptional women WMI Scholars who are leading change in the fields of medicine and education. This event is for anyone interested in learning more about sponsoring a WMI scholar. Sign-Up Here
In addition to studying community development in Kenya, Liz spends much of her time volunteering at children’s homes, She cooks for the children, spends quality time with them and shows them much-needed care and love.
Upon the completion of her medical degree Adama Fullah of Sierra Leone will be the only doctor in her cheifdom. She is also a women’s rights activist, with ongoing campaigns against female genital mutilation and advocating for girls’ right to education.
